I thought of your remark when I read the Dec. 5th TechCrunch article discussing the advantage that 4sq had over Gowalla due to their respective headquarters being in New York and Austin: http://techcrunch.com/2011/12/05/gowalla-versus-foursquare/

Mick, I can see why you're availing of this feature. Family in particular seem to enjoy keeping up with where I am. I find it interesting (and sometimes eye-opening) when Foursquare notifies me of some trend, such as week before last when it noted that I had been in the airport 22 weeks in a row. It was conversation fodder for me for awhile as I vainly attempted to garner sympathy for my tough work schedule (note: I thoroughly enjoy my job!).

Anyway, welcome to Foursquare!Mickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851933450818773697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3447307963244691801.post-22248623257394697992011-12-02T00:34:39.404+01:002011-12-02T00:34:39.404+01:00To your comment "none of my friends live in l...To your comment "none of my friends live in locales that I could realistically visit":

I wonder if there is any correlation between Social Presence tools and urban density. The container I referred to is called a はんぎり, and you can see what they look like on the Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hangiri
I especially think that the rate of cooling down the freshly boiled rice, and the way the solution is mixed in to it greatly affects how evenly and effectively the shari (another synonym for rice) is vinegared.Mayo Takeuchihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18284278371096410534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3447307963244691801.post-6880923594329446222011-11-26T09:24:39.020+01:002011-11-26T09:24:39.020+01:00Hi Bizee, you're most welcome - I'm usuall...Hi Bizee, you're most welcome - I'm usually happy to support others on journeys of learning, and consider a day wasted if I don't learn something new myself.
